This program provides skills needed for employment in a variety of multimedia and production fields. Topics covered include the following: Video and editing, inputs and outputs of broadcast production equipment, lighting, scripting, narration, music, camera techniques, display systems, on-air talent tactics, multi-camera taping, DVD/CD creation, and working with clients and projects in post. Desktop publishing, website design and special effects are also part of this class. Proficiency of these skills is demonstrated through hands-on projects that are worked on throughout the year. Students work with the Adobe Master Collection CS5 which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition and Encore. Students also learn job readiness skills and will create a personal resume and portfolio.
